I meant to post this awhile ago, but I forgot I never did, typical me.
What you will need:
Coconut oil
A Razor(preferably not a dull one)
This one is really easy too. I decided to do this after my shower, because it is important to make sure your legs are wet. I then just took some of the oil and put it on my legs like shaving cream. They felt very slick. Then, I just shaved my legs like normal, but be careful because it can be slippery. I ended up getting a very clean shave, and my legs never felt smoother or more moisturized. It's been about a week and my legs are still extremely smooth. So, if you ever run out of your favorite shaving cream, and you have coconut oil, definitely give it a try(you may just find a new favorite). I also use it as a full body moisturizer occasionally, by applying it to wet skin. Oils typically provide moisture, by trapping moisture in. However, coconut oil is compatible with our skin's natural oil. Therefore, it can be absorbed into our skin, and trap moisture. I hope this little bit of information helps! If you have any questions, let me know!

Coconut Oil "Recipe" #1: Nails
After obtaining a jar of coconut oil, I have found that it has amazing affects. In my previous post, I listed some of the great thing coconut oil can do. I have also heard how people have used it to cure all of these different things that were wrong with them. I know coconut oil is not magic(unfortunately), and there has to be some explanation behind it. Therefore, I am researching more about it and trying out new ways to use it. I will be posting about it on my blog as I learn more.
The first thing is, nails. I put recipe in quotations, because it's not really a recipe. It comes straight from the bottle. Basically, just like you would get a lip balm from a pot, you get the coconut oil from it's jar. then, simply massage it into your nails. Our body's natural oils respond well to coconut oil, and soak it right up. So, your nails won't feel greasy afterwards. Just like your skin and hair, you nails need moisture too, and the coconut oil helps with that. Another thing you can do is massage coconut oil into your nails, then put on your base coat, polish, and top coat. Nail polish has a tendency to dry out your nails, which contributes to lack of growth. The coconut oil serves as added protection and keeps your nails healthy, moisturized, and strong. I have been using the coconut oil daily for a week now, and I will post a before and after picture when they have fully repaired. If you already have long nails, using coconut oil can help you maintain them. This is a good easy way to start using coconut oil, and I will get into some stuff that involves heavier explaining soon. I don't want to give out any false information.

Coconut Oil is Amazing
So, I recently picked up something called coconut oil, and my original plan was to use it for my hair. However, I found out that coconut oil can be used for just about anything. I also haven't heard a bad thing about coconut oil yet Here is a list of some of the things people use coconut oil for.
-Shaving
-Hair Care
-Nail Care
-Dieting
-Teeth Whitening
-Make Up Remover
-Acne Treatment
-Light Sun Protection
-And More(you can use it for just about anything, I'm not kidding!)
I haven't tried all of the methods used to for the different things is the list. However, I have made a hair deep conditioner using coconut oil, and it made my hair extremely soft and shiny. I also added it to my other homemade hair products. I use it on my nails, which are very thin, and brittle, and never grow past a certain point. I have noticed that they are growing faster, getting stronger, and are repairing themselves. I also use it as a nightly moisturizer for my face, it doesn't feel like it clogs my pores. My skin also feels extremely soft, looks a lot better, and my blemishes are fading. I can't say much about it now, as I haven't used it for very long and I am still doing research. However, I have experienced great results so far. I will definitely put up some coconut oil recipes and methods if you want me to, and I can go into detail about some of the different uses coconut oil has.
Here is the jar I own, I picked it up at my local Whole Foods grocery store. You want to make sure it's unrefined, so it doesn't loose any of the good stuff in it. One thing I know, is that coconut oil contains large amounts of lauric acid, which is known to be highly anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal. In the jar, it is a harder consistency and it is white. When you rub it around in your hand, it melts instantly and becomes clear. It also smells delicious, not like typical coconut fragrance at all, it's hard to explain but I love it. If you decide to use coconut oil, make sure you won't be allergic.

Martha's Vineyard
`So I found out that my family and I are going on vacation on Martha's Vineyard this summer. Martha's Vineyard is a island belonging to Massachusetts. We went during the summer before my Freshman year, and the summer before my Sophomore year. However, we weren't able to go again, until now!! I absolutely love it there, we always go with my grandparents, my aunts, uncles, and cousins, from both my mom and my dad's side. Family friends also came with use the last time we went. Because Martha's Vineyard doesn't really have hotels, it is customary to rent houses, so we get a huge one and we all stay in it together. You could also decide to stay at a bed and breakfast. We drive up to Woods Hole Massachusetts, which is a cute little town, and take a ferry over to The Vineyard. There is space for cars on the ferry, so we bring ours in order to drive around. Martha's Vineyard is so beautiful and peaceful it makes you want to be outdoors. There are so many places to bike around and explore, and we are often having a barbecue outside and playing games. There is also the delicious breakfast diner called, Art Cliff's. They don't take reservations, so you have to get there early enough to beat the wait, but the pancakes are completely worth it. There is delicious ice cream at every ice cream parlor, and a place called back door doughnuts, which sells some of the freshest most delicious doughnuts I have ever tasted. We have stayed in Edgartown, and Oak Bluffs(which is famous for their gingerbread style houses and flying horses carousel). I believe every town in Martha's Vineyard has it's own town center, with shops, restaurants, and galleries, quaint movie theatres, and a lot more. We also make out way down to Menemsha beach, which is famous for it's amazing view of the sunset. I feel like I am advertising Martha's Vineyard, but it is truly one of my most favorite vacation spots, and I am just so excited to be going again. I will put some pictures below from my last trip to The Vineyard. A lot of them have my family in them, I'm not too sure how comfortable they would be with being on the internet. So, I will try to get a lot of pictures when I am there this summer of everything I mentioned in this post and more!
Enjoy the little preview(there are a lot of pictures from when we went to see the sunset):
